TODDLER LIFE | 29 MONTHS

TWENTY NINE MONTHS

Okay, I literally feel like I was just sitting down here last week dishing out Conner's twenty-eight month update, but holy wow, here we are another month gone.  I think I had enough time to blink before this little boy snuck in another month of growing on me.

Toddler Talks
There is no stopping this chatterbox now!  He is starting to love interacting with other people and other toddlers and talking up a storm with everyone in his path.  He'll even go out of his way to interrupt a stranger in their own separate conversation to tell them 'hi'.

Conner is starting to pick out letterS of the alphabet on top of knowing how to say nearly all but a handful of letters.  We'll break out one of his alphabet puzzles that he got for his birthday and go to town asking him to find all the different letter from the pile in front of him.  And for whatever reason, 'O' is his favorite letter of all.  (Actually, I do know why he loves it - watch the movie "Home" and you'll know why.)

Toddler Play
If this little boy isn't playing with his choo-choos, you'll find him jumping on errrthing. Enter in a worried mama because his high level energy sometimes clashes with a baby who is practicing tummy time on the floor.

And since the weather is starting to feel like spring, we've been back outside discovering the woods and chasing the chickens.  It's like getting back on a bike when it comes to watching him get back to his good ole' days of chasing the chickens around.

For all the nights that we're inside, Joe goes down to work in the basement and Conner grabs his toy drill and hammer and throws his boots on and runs downstairs to be Joe's right hand man with home projects.  So as Joe drills screws down a line of wood, Conner is right behind him with his drill helping out.  That relationship is about the best father-son relationship on the face of this planet.

Toddler Eats
We are still dealing with a picky little eater.  His food preferences haven't changed over the months, but we have noticed that he is much more open to trying spicy foods and liking them over milder foods.  I think he gets that directly from Joe's dad.  He has no problem eating hot wings, jalapeno brats, or spicy queso dip.

Everything else is still the status quo - a serious (and I mean serious) love for avocados and chocolate milk.

Toddler Sleep
Conner has developed somewhat of a new bedtime routine since we've been establishing one for Linden.  Now when we give Linden his nightly bath, Conner is right there jumping in.  Afterwards, he runs full speed through the house like a dog would after getting a bath (dog owners, you know what I'm talking about) and then indulge in a nighttime snack and a cartoon.  And when 8pm rolls around we scrub those teeth down and hop into bed until 6am rolls around.
